The Performers Dance Course

This course operates from the centre in partnership with the City of Sunderland College. It is designed to enable North East students to embark on a vocational training course without having to travel south and without having to pay huge tuition fees. This course is free to all full time students between the age of 16 and 19 years and all students who enrol on the course enjoy all the benefits of a City of Sunderland
College Student. The course aims to provide the all round training that professional performers require and whilst it specialises in dance it does cover all aspects of the performing arts to include singing, drama, musical theatre, anatomy, choreography, theatrical production and stagecraft. This course provides an excellent training opportunity for experienced dancers/performers to progress onto the first rung of the professional ladder. For those with little or no experience a foundation course is also available. Informal interviews and taster days are held throughout the year, with staff on hand to give advice and guidance as to a students suitability for the course.
